Antelco micro valve - ignore the rest, buy the best!

Background - we recently installed an indoors WiFi-supported drip irrigation system (Orbit b-hyve WiFi controller) and wanted on/off valves for each plant. Orbit (not the subject of this review) is a known brand and sells all sorts of drip irrigation fittings, so we bought a bunch of their valves as the online reviews were mainly positive. Big mistake! The Orbit valves are not “on/off”, rather “screw tight to slow the flow, possibly stop, unscrew to increase the flow”… Upon installation 1 valve blew the cap right off (was not threaded on by much apparently, perhaps my bad) and, yes, we used a 20 PSI pressure regulator. Forward to Antelco products… the Antelco valve was less expensive than the Orbit valve, infinitely better design, and greater quality. Works as you would hope - 1/4 turn for off, 1/4 turn for on, nice protruding arrow tip moulded on the cap to guide you, and the cap can’t come loose or fall off (it is not threaded like the Orbit valve cap is - in fact it spins freely 360 degrees). I have purchased products for drip irrigation from other companies (Rain Bird, Orbit) and the Antelco products are simply the gold standard in my estimation (I have switched exclusively to them). This Australian company knows how to design and manufacture incredible products for the growing enthusiast. Their PC (pressure compensated) “shrubbier” is perhaps my favourite watering solution on the planet (but that is another review ;-)). In my experience you simply can’t go wrong with this company. Check out their range of products… they are geared to sustainable solutions… https://antelco.com And, no, I have zero affiliation with the company (other than being a satisfied customer). Finally, a hat-tip to the Indoor Farmer group (thanks Chris!)… they are happy to help and offer advice, have competitive prices, a good range of inventory, and I will be a customer for life.
